Loreley in Rhein

Last saturday we went Loreley in Rhein river.
The weater was so so so great and the river was pretty.

This was the Loreley rock and on the top there were some flags. Well, honestly it was little bit different as I imagined.

There were so many castles along the river, and later I could not be interested in them anymore.


There were two statues of Loreley.
Does anybody know which one the real statue is?
According to the legend that I heard, the rock where the Loreley sat was not that high like this Loreley rock.

This white statue was on the top of the rock. But it was built in 1979. Well...


And this one was on the tongue on the river.
Hmm, anyway people who live there call this long peninsula as "Tongue".
This one was black.. And these two statues are quite far way..
Which one is the Loreley??

Frankfurt is getting ready for the worldcup

Frankfurt is getting ready for the worldcup!

So do I!

We are just missing some georgeous weather to enjoy.
Yesterday we had some sun light for the afternoon.


The worldcup flags in the Alte Oper, Frankfurt.



We met a very friendly couple with a little baby girl in starbucks.
Unlike US, here we can get the real mug if we wanna drink in the cafe.
It was a very good way to spend our afternoon.

We just need to extend our cafe adventure other than the starbucks next time.

At the night, we also met our old friend Markus. It is always good to see good friend again.
However my camera goes "LAL LA" mood again at the important moment, so I could not get any good one from him.. That's too bad..

Maybe next time!!!

오펜바흐에서의 즐거웠던 오후 (Korean post)

I had a good afternoon time in Offenbach on last sunday.
There was a street Jazz concert and lots of authentic German food and snacks. Of course beer too!!

A crepe with banana and nutella was great for an afternoon snack.





며칠만에 모처럼 비가 잠깐 그쳤던 일요일..

갓 사온 따뜻한 크로와상으로 아침을 먹고 잠시 인터넷 삼매경인데 엠엠이 오펜바흐를 가잔다.

무슨 특별한 날이라고 일요일인데도 상점들이 오후 내내 문을 열고 타운에서는 재즈 공연도 한다기에 좋구나 하고 따라 나섰다.


아저씨들 체스에 한창들이시다. 검은 점퍼 입으신 저분 열심히 목청 높여 가며 훈수를 두신다.
딸때마다 직접 체스판에서 들어내는 걸 보니 그리 무겁지는 않은것 같은데

보기에는 무게있어 안정감 있어 보인다.


재즈 공연은 사실 동네 아저씨들 수준이었지만 제법 괜찮은 목소리를 내는 트럼펫 부는 메인 보컬 아저씨랑 주변 분위기탓에 어깨까지 들썩여 가며 기분을 낼수 있었다.

사실은 베이스 소리를 제일 좋아하는데 앞으로 나오신 색소폰 부시는 분 덕에 가려졌다.




이런데 나오면 빼 놓을 수 없는 것이 간식이다. 오늘의 선택은 크레페.
꿀로 버무린 아몬드 땅콩을 먹고 싶다는 엠엠의 의사를 저버리고 내 맘대로 선택한 크레페.

내용물을 고르는데 다시 약간의 충돌.. 사과 마말레이드랑 꿀과 계피를 넣자는 엠엠..

흠.. 마말레이드는 수제 말고는 별로인 나..
바나나와 누뗄라로 정함..

처음으로 먹어본 누뗄라 무지무지 달았다.. 속은 이렇게 생겼다..

In germany again!

I safely arrived here in Frankfurt, Germany on May 17.

The weather difference between Louisiana and Germany was huge. I am cold now!!

To welcome me, my nice honey treated me a nice lunch in Sachsenhausen area.

The restaurant has quite funny name " Ape gate restarant"!..




Even though the weather was still a bit chilled,
it was great to sit outside.

I had some kind of Leverkase with grilled potato and salad (salad already gone by Mijeong!).










And this was Matthias's choice.. Hmm, a bit too much fat later.

Afelwein was still good..

I love sourkraut so much.











I could not find any jacket from my luggage since I haven't unpacked. I borrowed one of his sweater, and shamefully it was fit on me.

I definately need some diet.


The old man of this picture was our waiter. He was nice!

Mushroom burger with a lovely couple

Last saturday I had a good lunch time with this authentic mushroom burger and a lovely couple in Mandeville.

This place was a small shop called " the Healthy food", and they open a lunch counter for short time.

Maybe it is already quite famous in this area since we had to wait for empty seats.

This lady who wore quite unique dress made our three mushroom burgers.





Here, the very healthy vegi cheese mushroom burger..

Taste? Actually it was very good and only the half of it was really filling up my stomach.











This new lovers looked so happy to be together. And I am really happy for them.
Unfortunately, this picture is a bit dark because of the light. Sorry Noriko and Mario.

And really thanks for coming to Mandeville to see me!!
